SFUMATO: (Sfu-mato) Willingness to embrace ambiguity, paradox, uncertainty – move into the unknown – living excitedly with questions and paradox
ARTE/SCIENZA: (arte-che-entsa) Balance and integration of art and science, logic and imagination – whole brain thinking and holistic intelligence.
CORPORALITA: (Corpo-ra-lita) Cultivation of grace, ambidexterity, fitness and poise – holistic wellness and fitness.
CONNESSIONE: (Con-ness-eeonay) Recognition and appreciation of the interconnectedness of all things and thoughts – systems thinking.

    • List 100 questions that are important to you:
    • Can include any kind of question provided that it has significance to you.
    • Do in one sitting
      • write quickly,
      • don’t worry about spelling, grammar or
      • repeating same question in different words

       

    • Why 100 questions?
      • first 20 off top of head
      • next 30-40 themes begin to emerge
      • toward end discover unexpected

       

    • When finished read through your list and highlight or identify the themes that emerge

 

    • Consider the themes without judging them

 

    • Are your questions about
      • relationships
      • business
      • fun
      • money/material things
      • the world
      • yourself
      • meaning of life
      • pleasure
      • death/suffering/pain

       

    • Review your list and select the most NB/significant 10 questions
    • Rank the 10 in importance – can add new questions – change or delete at any time

 

    • Do not attempt to answer them now – enough done at this stage

POINTS WORTH NOTING
    • Authority pleasing, question/suppressing and rule/following approach is the norm. We are taught that answers are more important than questions.
    • The thinking skill that’s rewarded is to get the “right answer” – i.e. the answer held by the person in authority.
    • Final exams are final indeed.
